This past weekend was the 4th annual Mrs. Claus for a Cause. It was a brisk pre-winter two days. I helped out in the hot dog cart and had so much fun. What stood out was the happiness on the people's faces that attended. We went through about 1,000 Hot Dogs on Saturday. Oh, and lots of hot chocolate, and apple cider. Jon was dressed as Buddy the Elf. There were so many thank yous from parents to children. Saturday was for everyone, and Sunday was for special needs kids.

Inside the Elk's Lodge in Montrose were cookie-making stations, pictures with Santa Claus, kids writing letters to Santa, and so much joy and family fun. Many Disney characters, and so many toys and warm blankets, to beanie caps for kids. The look on their faces after picking out a toy was so heartwarming.

Leah C. is a wonderful person, with a heart of gold. The event just gets bigger every year. The volunteers are a big part of the event as well. Also all the donations from local businesses and the community. Thank you to everyone who came out to the event, it was so much fun. If you want to volunteer for next year just go to Mrsclausforacause.org. I had several people ask about volunteering. Their Facebook page is full of info. A big thank you to the Elk's lodge for all the space. The biggest Thank You to Leah C. for this wonderful event. I can't wait for next year.
