Are you ready for winter? Because it is coming. According to the Farmers' Almanac, it could be a tough one too. For the 2022-20223 winter forecast, the Farmers' Almanac used three key descriptors. You can be the judge as to what type of winter we could be in for.

What Colorado's Winter Could Look Like

A glacial, snow-filled hibernation zone is what has been predicted for Colorado. Coloradans won't be alone in this seemingly snowy, bone-chilling weather as nine other states are expected to get the same forecast.

Glacial suggests we could have an icy winter. Being kind of a word nerd, I took to Merriam-Webster to investigate and this is the definition the online dictionary gave us that would play well with the context given.

  • Extremely cold
  • Devoid of warmth or cordiality

Snow-filled. This one is pretty obvious. Colorado is going to get snow.

Hibernation Zone. Might as well start putting titles in your watch list on Netflix based on this descriptor. Lots of inside time. To be honest, there is nothing quite like a lazy Sunday when it is snowing out and there is nowhere to go and nothing to do... Or being snowed in.

If your winter coat game is slacking, now might be the absolute perfect time to upgrade considering the weather in Northern Colorado is in the upper 90s.
