Let's start with Irish coffee. You take a rich, robust blend of your favorite coffee and just add Irish whiskey, sugar, and cream. Simple and wonderful! You've probably heard of a Hot Toddy, but have you ever had one? it's easy and it's a drink you can take a lot of different directions. You can use rum, whiskey, or brandy. All you need to add to any of those is honey for sweetness and a squeeze of lemon juice.

Yes, it's absolutely true that for a nice breakfast or brunch, it's got to be number one, but it's a winter-warming drink too. The classic Bloody Mary! There are lots of variations, some really spicy, some not so much. Most people start with bloody mary mix, or clamato and vodka, and go from there.

The last one I'll write about is the hot buttered rum. Now, I've never had one, but always thought I might like it. I mean, just saying "hot buttered" kind of gets you going, right? It seems to me it'd be the perfect fireside drink to warm you up! Go ahead and give one of these a try. I'm adding ingredients to my shopping list right now, Cheers.
