I was scoping the news this morning and I noticed that Millers-Coors is selling a Christmas Tree that has a Keg as part of the stand. Sounds bizarre, doesn't it? It's basically a table with a hole in the top where you can run the tap through and attach it to one of the trees' branches. The keg and bucket go underneath. It can hold a tree up to 150 lbs. I'm not sure this is something I would ever purchase, but it is quite a unique idea for those who love beer. It did remind me, however, of a story my old neighbor Scott had shared with me a few years back.

Camping in the snow

When Scott was growing up, he and his father would always go camping on Christmas Eve. Even in a heavy snowstorm. He said it was a tradition It originally started out as a holiday hunting trip. One season, they got snowed in and couldn't leave for a week. They made the best of it and over the years, no matter the weather, they would go up into the Rockies and camp for the weekend. Scott's father is long gone, but he still carries on his Christmas tradition of camping outside on Christmas eve with the kiddos.

I found a few other ways to celebrate your Colorado Christmas if camping in the snow is not your thing.
