Colorado Proud: Local Chef to Appear on Popular Cooking Show
It's always cool when Colorado is featured on a popular television show, but it's even cooler when a Coloradan is featured on a show because of their skills.
Popular TV shows like Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, Bar Rescue, and numerous home renovation programs have been filmed in Colorado in the fairly recent past, but a new season of a popular reality show will be featuring a man from Colorado due to his skills as a chef where he will compete for the title of Top Chef.
Colorado Chef Will Be a Contestant on the Popular Top Chef TV Show
In this particular case, our home state hero is a celebrated chef by the name of Manny Barella, who was previously the kitchen lead at Bellota, a Mexican restaurant in downtown Denver.
However, struggles during the COVID pandemic saw this location close in 2020 but Barella had already moved on to team up with Robert Thompson, the man behind Camp Pickle which is on the way to open restaurants in the Denver suburb of Centennial, as well as numerous other ventures, as Culinary Director.
Prior to being chosen for Bravo's Top Chef, Barella's accolades included the Rising Star award from StarChef and he was also a semifinalist for the title of Emerging Chef from the prestigious James Awards.
Now, Barella will be seen on the small screen competing against other culinary masters for the coveted title of Top Chef, a television show on the Bravo Network that will launch its 21st season on March 20, 2024.
