With the holidays right around the corner, Grand Junction is getting ready for the return of a popular winter tradition. As a kid who loved driving around with my family, looking at Christmas lights, it is great to see the city and Grand Junction Parks and Rec keeping this tradition alive.

Every year, Grand Junction’s Senior Holiday Lights Tour seems to sell out faster than the year before. This December, the Senior Holiday Light Tour returns for two nights of cocoa, carols, and twinkling lights.

Grand Junction’s Senior Holiday Light Tour is a chance for residents over 50 to reserve a spot on the city’s holiday bus and tour the best holiday display neighborhoods. The evening starts at the Lincoln Park Barn with hot chocolate, holiday treats, and live holiday entertainment. Then, ticketholders jump on the bus (three steps to enter/exit) for the tour before returning to the barn. It’s a great time for those who want to enjoy holiday lights without driving, parking, or getting lost in Redlands.
