Windsor Restaurant Hints at Big Change on the Way

Restaurants in Northern Colorado do seem to come and go, at times; sometimes, a "revamp" is what the business needs to turn things around. A restaurant in Windsor has gone through at least a couple of changes and is ready to bring what they hope is the most successful change, yet.

Windsor Restaurant to Bring Yet Another Concept in 2026

Windsor is a small town, that keeps on growing; in 2025 the town was noted as being Colorado's newest "boomtown." With that, the town does need more and more places to go grab a bite to eat; 2026 will see an old friend taking yet another stab at bringing in customers from not just Windsor but from the Northern Colorado area. There's one thing that's true: people love burgers and they love pizza; this could be their winning concept.

Will the New Concept Be Pleasing Everyone in Raindance and Beyond?

The Raindance community opened in Windsor 2019; in 2020, came Ted's Sweetwater Grill to the southern edge of the community. It's a great location, not just for the Raindance community members, but for those coming from the heart of Windsor, from Loveland and from Greeley, as it's just off of Crossroads Boulevard. This new concept, though not favored by everyone around Raindance, could be a big hit.

Ted's Next Chapter Has Shot at Pleasing Diners of All Ages

It was in September of 2025 that Ted's closed down to work on their "next chapter." Many hoped that they'd turn the establishment into more of a coffee shop vibe, which they said the Raindance community really needs. While those hoping for a coffee/bake shop, there will probably be many people excited about what Ted's has planned. The first week of January, 2026, they announced the new chapter: Ted's Backyard - Burgers & Pizza.

I've been into Ted's a few times, I think they can make great use of their space with a big pizza joint that also serves burgers. I saw someone asking if they'd be serving the Fig Burger that Ted's had; that sounds interesting. "Backyard" does imply that they'll be revamping what they have outside. I'm one who's eager to see how Ted's Backyard looks and tastes when they open. Rumor has it that it may be as soon as February.
