
Love Tenders? Northern Colorado’s Getting Another Raising Cane’s
Loveland, Colorado is becoming hot property when it comes to popular restaurant chains looking to expand. As of spring of 2025 there were 21 Raising Cane's in Colorado; by the same time the following year, Loveland could make 22.
Raising Cane's Has Submitted Plans for a Loveland, Colorado Location
Where you hear how bad traffic can be getting in and out of the Fort Collins Raising Can's location along College, you have to hope that the developer of this Loveland one has a good plan. Folks hate traffic jams as much as they like chicken tenders.
The founder of Raising Cane's, Todd Graves, worked as a boilermaker at an oil refinery in California and on a commercial fishing boat to raise money to start the business. The name comes from a dog that liked to hang around the construction site of the first location.
You do have to give credit to the founders of Raising Cane's, as during the pandemic they didn't take their salaries so that they wouldn't have to lay any employees off. Maybe that's one of the reasons people love those chicken fingers so much.

There's no question that Raising Cane's is an American success story: Starting out in 1996 in Louisiana, having about 200 locations in 2015, and over 800 by 2025, and being featured by Forbes magazine and raking in over $1 billion in sales every year.

Raising Cane's first came to Colorado in 2019, opening in Colorado Springs. The Springs now has four spots, along with Denver. Fort Collins' first Raising Cane's opened in 2019, and remains pretty busy.
The one that is planned for Loveland is on the east end of town, just east of the big Ford dealership in a new development. In spring of 2025, a McDonald's was being built close to where this Raising Cane's is planned.

Both of which are near Mountain View High School and the Loveland Sports Park. This is a prime location for just about any fast food chain.
While the project (including a 2,800 square-foot restaurant) was still listed as "Under Review" in April of 2025, if approved, it will be interesting to see how busy it gets and how traffic along Eisenhower will look.
