24 Year Old Mexican Restaurant In Midtown FoCo Says Goodbye
Much like the expression "boom goes the dynamite," when it comes to favorite restaurants in Colorado - especially in Fort Collins - "gone goes another one."
This time Inca Mexican Restaurant, which has been open in midtown Fort Collins the last 24 years has closed their doors for good, as of a few days ago. The building they've occupied since 2002 has been given to another tenant, who plans to redevelop the property.

Inca's owner says he was offered another building nearby but ultimately chose not to move, and to close the restaurant instead.
Initially they had until the end of this month to wrap things up before making away for a new bank development, but opted to go ahead and close their doors on May 31, leaving many of their longtime customers sad about the outcome.
Since this idea was floated a few years ago, many had hoped Inca would find a new home nearby, but ultimately nothing worked out. For their part, Inca's own says while business wasn't as good as it once was, it was still good enough to keep operating.

Many neighboring businesses and customers of the restaurant say it's a shame a locally owned favorite is going away, and making room for another national bank on a stretch of South College that is already overrun with other banks.
For their part, the landlord is also sad the restaurant is going away, and tried to find another location for them but it wasn't to be. With the addition of the new King Soopers store cam the opportunity to further develop the property - one that proved to be too valuable to pass up.
