If anyone in Colorado has tried to open and maintain a small business, they know the frustration it all can bring, even when successful. When a shop in Greeley decided to close up, they also made the decision to let everyone know their frustrations about running the business.

How Long Had the Greeley Boutique Been Open Before Closing?

Blush Boutique Co. opened in Downtown Greeley in December of 2017, carrying women's fashion, jewelry, unique home goods and more. The owner, having strong faith, used a Psalm on the store's website: You are fearfully and wonderfully made. Psalm 139:14. After over nine years, even pushing through the pandemic, it became "enough is enough," for the shop.

The thing that really stands out about Blush Boutique's closing is in the way that they held to their set of values, believed in themselves and their faith, and went out with their heads held high.

They decided that they'd lay it out bare, for everyone to see, informing us all on why they decided to end the business. Not only would it be inspiration for other small business owners, but also commentary on how a community should embrace the small businesses it has. A "two birds with one stone" kind of situation, for all.

On Facebook, Blush Boutique posted six panels revealing their feelings about running the business, which lead to its closure. I wouldn't go as far as to call it "going scorched Earth," but it definitely has that "mic drop" vibe.
