With all the great drive-in movie theaters that Colorado has, it's hard to believe that only one of them made this list.

Going to the drive-in is a classic form of entertainment: "Don't get out of your car, stay there; we'll bring the movie to you." Whomever thought this whole thing up was a genius.

What makes this one drive-in in Colorado so special?

One Colorado Drive-In Named Among 15 Best in America

We all have our own memories of going to the drive-in: first with your parents as they brought you along to see a Disney movie from the car, then as a youth, going with friends to see a slasher movie; then as an adult, taking your own kids to see a Disney movie.

Fodor's Travel put together a list of 15 drive-in movie theaters across the nation that they consider the best. Four states had more than one drive-in on the list (California has three;) Coloradans might argue that our state should have more than one on the list, too.

Drive-In in Pueblo, Colorado, Listed Among 15 Best in Nation

About 115 miles south of Denver you'll find what Fodor's Travel says is one of the best in all of America at Mesa Drive-In in Pueblo.

You really have to wonder (no offense to Mesa) if they really visited every drive-in that's in Colorado. Maybe I'm just partial to the Holiday Twin in Fort Collins.

What Fodor Travel has to say about Mesa Drive-In:

…They welcome families, singles, and even pets to watch their movies, and their snack bar has unique and vegan-friendly options, like whole dill pickles and cut-up watermelon.

Congrats, Mesa. To all the other great drive-ins in Colorado: You're great, too.
