Greeley Stampede Adds New Security System for 2026
Now that 2026 is officially here, we are looking forward to another summer at the Greeley Stampede. The Greeley Stampede has taken steps to ensure the safety of visitors and enhance the experience on the grounds of Island Grove Park in years past.
New Security Measures for 2026
This year is no different. The Greeley Stampede has announced the implementation of a new detection system that will be utilized at every entry point into the Greeley Stampede for 2026.
According to a press release, the Greeley Stampede will utilize a Weapons Detection System at all park entrances. These systems are being used at major venues across the United States and will help keep the visitors at the Greeley Stampede safe this summer.
This weapons detection system is contactless, non-intrusive, and uses artificial intelligence to distinguish things such as keys and cellphones as guests walk through the technology to gain entry to the grounds of the Greeley Stampede.

This new technology will work alongside the Stampede's clear bag policy, with guests going through the Weapons Detection System first, then proceeding to bag check locations.
Concealed Carry Rules at the Greeley Stampede
The Greeley Stampede will still allow lawfully concealed carry handguns on the grounds during events. Concealed carry handguns will need to meet state guidelines, and guests will be required to present permits to verify concealed carry status to continue into the park. Concealed carry permits must be issued by the state of Colorado or a reciprocity state.
