Tonight is the night, tonight is the night that your life to change forever. The Powerball jackpot is up to $1.2 BILLION.

It's been said that money can't buy happiness, but I'm calling bull on that because if I won this kind of money or anything close to this kind of money, there would be a ton of happiness coursing through my body.

According to the National Weather Service, you have a better chance at getting struck by lighting, you're about 250 times more likely to get struck down by lightning this year with the odds being at 1 in 1,171,000.

So let's get to the meat of winning the money and that's the numbers. If we only knew which numbers were going to pop up out of the machine and reveal tonight's jackpot winner (if there is one)

While we or nobody else for that matter truly knows which numbers will pop up, we can go with the odds of numbers that have popped up the most for other winners and the numbers that have simply won the most in the lottery.

According to Colorado Lottery, these are the luckiest of the lucky numbers when it comes to winning the Mega Millions over the past 6 months-- and yes I know tonight's jackpot is for Powerball, it may be worth a shot to look at these numbers.

In addition to that little bit of info, Colorado Lottery CEO Tom Seaver adds this advice:

"So even if you play and you don’t win, also make sure to check your numbers because there are nine levels of prizes and Mega Millions so even if you don’t win the jackpot, and you hear the jackpots been won, don’t just throw away your ticket, make sure you check it for the other numbers that you could win,”
