Christ the King is a massive, 55-foot statue of Jesus Christ that stands high atop a mountain in a rather rural part of Colorado. The statue was built in 1933 and at the time, was the second-tallest statue of Jesus Christ in the world.

The statue is located at 51321 U.S. Highway 285 in Grant, Colorado, which is a small community just outside of Bailey:

History of Colorado's Christ the King

The statue was originally placed in its current location back in 1933 as a gift from the family of John L. Dower to Catholic Charities for the Camp Santa Maria summer camp just below the mountain.

Camp Santa Maria is still operating today as a summer camp for underprivileged youth, senior citizens, and other visitors.

The statue is technically located on private property, but if you take U.S. Highway 285 to Santa Maria Road, you can see the statue from the Camp Santa Maria entrance:
